Thanks, eh!

Robot Nun and Felted StormstuffedpaulWe’re sorry it took us so long to make it back to the Great White North, mostly because of all the Awesome we’ve been missing out on:

– Great crowds. Not that we don’t love all our crowds equally (of course we do!), but it’s so nice to know that there’s a whole other nation stocked with twisted minds.

POUTINE! Several heaping helpings were enjoyed at Smokes in Toronto. If someone asks if you’d like the double pork, you say YES. And if they ever open in our home towns, we will go ahead and make reservations at our local cardiac wards.

– Felted Paul and Storm. Not inherently or iconically Canadian per se, but produced there by fan/merchtrix Zoe. Epic detailing!

– Robot Pirate and Nun by Robot a Day. Felted Paul and Storm came nested inside of these ingenious little vinyl critters.

Hope to see you again soon!

    If you want to better support your local cardiologist, I have a “black market” source of poutine sauce mix available (my in-laws live in Quebec). You’re on your own to find the curd cheese, but we’ve been lucky recently to find a cheddar variety at Trader Joe’s, which works well (it’s not the real thing, but it’ll do). Poutine is quite addictive; it’s the only food that requires actual cooking skills (measuring water and stirring sauce) that my 16-year-old son willingly makes. When we visit the in-laws, he moves into the nearby McPoutine and we pick him up on our way home (well, he would if we’d let him).

    Hopefully you guys recover in time from the Poutine in order to dig into some carne asada fries, a san diego specialty. Fries loaded with guac, sour cream, loads of cheese (often nacho style), carne, jalepenos, and of course good ol’ fashioned grease. Yummmm.

    I’m glad to see the felt “yoududes” made it safely across the border. Thanks for Paul and Stormin’ Toronto!

    @Brandon F
    Thanks a lot. Now I’m totally craving carne asada fries. Fortunately I only have to wait two weeks before I’m in San Diego again.

    Squee! Only two weeks until P&S and carne asada fries!

    @Molly That is indeed a Captain Hammer shirt although it belongs to Paul and Storm is only borrowing it.

    @Erin Thanks!
