I would also like to see one in the midwest.

I submitted this page to digg so the minions should probably go digg and to help ticket sales and all that fun stuff.

w00t indeed! I’d like to say that I’m so there at the LA show, but I might be traveling for work. (Some more. I haven’t been home for any significant amount of time since the end of July, and won’t be until the beginning of October, at which time I may have to turn around and do it again. Meh. End rant.) I’m buying a ticket anyway.

Suggestions for w00tstock LA: Felicia Day (of course) and the other Guildies, Hard ‘N Phirm and/or Chris Hardwick, and someone you don’t know but should – comedian Jackie Kashian. She’s a very funny, nerdy lady, and she has a weekly podcast called The Dork Forest, so if you don’t know about her yet, you should. And she’s a friend of mine. (Hardwick knows her too, so you could check with him first.) Also, sci-fi/fantasy author Greg van Eekhout is a huge fan of yours and I’m sure would gladly some up from San Diego to read some of his work. (You can read his flash fiction on Escape Pod. Oh, and he’s a friend of mine too. 🙂

P.S. The first story of Greg’s that you should read on Escape Pod is “Taco.” (Come to think of it, I believe he’s on Wil’s radar too – possibly because of “Taco.”)

And if you’re taking the show on the road, don’t miss the East Coast. NY or Philly, even Boston or DC on a weekend, but there’s no way I can get CA past the committee. 🙁

w00tstock: I think a musical adaptation of “Toy Soldiers” with robots is in order

I want to see a Southwest version, since I’m based in Texas. This is an incredibly awesome idea and I only regret that I can’t be there for the California shows.

    cheers,
    Phil

Dugg. 🙂 Just wish I could go. Al the fun stuff happens on the Left coast. (Well, at least until PAX East Coast in 2010.)

Alton Brown has an episode called “Mythsmashers” where he does, indeed, copy the Mythbuster formula for common food misconceptions. A link to the excellent fan page, including recipes and transcript, is here:

You should totally come to Seattle with this. And in other news, there have been about 4 confirmed swine flu cases coming out of PAX, so see here: http://www.penny-arcade.com/2009/9/7/feeling-sick/

    Cross-posting to say:
I have a single w00tstock ticket available for the LA show on Oct 21. (After I ordered my ticket, Uncle Sam decided to send me out of state for work. :-/) Largo’s stated policy is that tickets are non-transferable, which seems kinda ridiculous. Really? They would prefer to leave that seat empty? Folks interested in the ticket can email me at colleenky AT gmail DOT com, and we’ll see if we can work something out with Largo.
