Thanks, Birchmere-ians

We almost forgot to officially say "thank you" to everyone who made Friday’s show at the Birchmere so…so what? Special? Crazy? Filled with flying stuffed animals? In any event, thanks.

Over 400 of you showed up (a new record for us and JoCo), and yes, some panties were thrown. Thanks for those. (With one glaring exception) But you apparently saved the majority of your "throwing stuff on stage" mojo for Coulton; the trend of people throwing small stuffed animals at him during his show reached awesome/disturbing new heights, and indirectly were the result of an impromptu Neil Diamond sing-along that was, for us, one of the highlights of the evening. (Oh, and if anyone has a bootleg of that one, we’d love a copy) Here’s a nice review of the show.

Thanks again for an awesome show!

(BTW, I threw the red panties. Yes, I’m a geek, and proud of it. I was disappointed that you didn’t notice the text on them at the time, though…thought you’d have a field day with that!)

The stuffed animals were out of control. My husband felt bad for you guys because all you got was panties. You need to come up with a(nother) song that invites throwing stuff onto the stage.

Man, I can’t believe that guy in the review didn’t mention your rendition of Freebird. That was awesome.

Also, have you guys thought about submitting your CDs to Pandora, the online radio site? They play songs based on their relationship to the songs and/or artists people put in. It’s pretty nifty.

That show was so great. Shame no one recorded it. I see there is a video of the next performance of Sweet Caroline you did, which was almost as good by the looks of it (of course I think the one I was at in person was better!)
