Show #106: Moomami

The hunnerdsixthth episode of our podcast, Paul and Storm Talk About Some Stuff for Five to Ten Minutes (On Average), is now online.

This week’s episode: Storm is reduced to Skype-level audio quality, as his Mac Mini has given out; we offer our (hopefully) final thoughts on the “Paul cheating” issue, including the concept of “Canadian cheating;” we opine about flavors and couch farts; Storm invents a board game; we tease about some upcoming shows; and neither of us cares about Valentine’s Day.

Please be an Alaska cruise. Please be soon. Please to have new game ready by then.

And please to make timing of the Seattle Nerds & Music show magically swap with the Portland show so that this Canadian cheater can be at said show. Please?

(And thanks, as always, for the laughs)

At some point in college, a friend of a friend forbade a bunch of us from eating at McDonald’s due to their massive beef and potato farming needs leading to deforestation in South America. I didn’t really need the excuse by that point, since I’m pretty sure that McDonald’s is a taste a lot of people grow out of, but it’s a more informed excuse than “I don’t wanna go there”.

There aren’t a lot of things I won’t eat, but I seriously don’t like eggplant in any form, and I avoid zucchini in its pure state. (Hiding in soup or whatever is okay.) Over the last few months I’ve seen from several sources that chicken sashimi has become popular in Japan, but I just cannot bring myself to even imagine eating that.

Also, googling “house made of leeks” is dangerous. It leads to a lot of recipes, particularly for Potato Leek Soup with House-Made Bacon/Sausage/cured meat of your choice. Now I’m very hungry and lunch is hours away. 🙁

Eight arms and head in the clouds = Jeff Lewis (@jeffylew) in Felicia Day and Sandeep Parikh’s “Game On!” music video.

Love the show, listen to almost every episode…

But the “cheating” discussion is really starting to grate. Please please PLEASE stop talking about it! It filled up almost the entire last episode, a good portion of this episode, and the Geeky Pleasures show. I’m almost turned off from your podcast appearances now because of the length of this one specific discussion that seems to yield little new ground.

    I IMPLORE YOU CEASE!

Awww. If they stopped now, it would be cheating. 😉
