Show #115: Dangerously Close to Actual Content

The hundy-teenfived episode of our podcast, Paul and Storm Talk About Some Stuff for Five to Ten Minutes (On Average), is now online.

This week’s episode: coming up with good podcast topics (or not); CONvergence debriefing and Storm’s failure to take 1,000 pictures with cosplayers; the introversion of musicians; VY Canis Majoris and fever dreams; Phineas and Ferb is not for stoners; TARDIS vs. DeLorean; and dancing with dragons.

Oh, how I can go on (and on and on and on) about introversion at nerd events. I will spare you. Suffice to say: like much of your fanbase, I know exactly what you mean.

Cons are a little odd when you don’t interact much with the scheduled programming. I attended six PAXes before going to a panel and somehow still loved it every year. Taking photos of interesting people was always one of my standbys for entertaining myself and interacting with strangers.

On a tangent: my friends forced me to watch Game of Thrones, so I’ll forgive Paul’s invocation of Hodor. I am VERY RELUCTANTLY joining your little cult, and will eventually get around to reading the books. Don’t spoil too much for me.

Wow, a half-arsed podcast recorded on my birthday. Bonus present!

Although I am going to grumble that being in the UK I always miss the call for podcast topics, since I’m tucked up in bed by the time it goes out. Can’t you guys put the call out a little more in advance occasionally? Think of all the amazing topics you could be missing out on talking about!

I must agree with Claire, I have been sitting on some recommendations for a good few months now as it always seems to be 3am or thereabouts that suggestions are asked for.

One suggestion I would give is to invite Jonathan onto the podcast to discuss his new album as I think most of your listeners are fans of his work and you 3 are hilarious together (not that I’m saying you two aren’t hilarious by yourselves, as ofcourse you are!)
