Comfort Food Project International

Was it a warm, gooey grilled cheese sandwich on a cold winter’s day? Perhaps a plate of mom’s homemade spaghetti and meatballs? Or maybe something more esoteric, like…well, you tell us.

As lovers of food, our goal is to document and share those consumables that are much more than the sum of ingredients they’re made of, for no other reason other than it’s a pleasant thing to think about.

ComFood Memories

Please share your comfort (and discomfort) food memories in the comments of Episode 010. Photos are also welcome (visit the Contact page for e-mail address.)

"Comfort Food Memories" will be highlighted in future podcasts, and at some point we’ll make a slicker page for them that will probably look suspiciously like NPR’s page for their "This I Believe" project.

ComFood Map

Our hope is to collect enough data points to make a Google Earth map that will be a visual guide to comfort food (and discomfort food) around the world.

Eventually we’ll have a high-tech web thingy to handle this, but for now please put in your name (first name is fine), location (country, state/region, city) and comfort food of choice on this page’s comments section (or e-mail them to us via our Contact page.) If you have multiple comfort foods, go ahead and list them all in one comment post.
