Sadly, the podcast doesn't download or stream beyond about 30 minutes or 35MB, depending on whether you're streaming or downloading. I rely on these podcasts to give me the insight I require to cure cancer, work for world peace and stuff like that.

It would be lovely if the file was checked and possibly replaced on the server so I could hear the end. Donating to the cause is more rewarding when you can hear the end of the thing you're trying to listen to.

I'm with Gina; I was surprised to hear that you throw them out. Not that I expected you kept them, but I assumed you donated them. So, three cheers for Gillian and the quilt! :) And Mark, I've seen thrift stores that do sell second-hand panties (and some have clearly been worn before).

Also, quasi-related to the podcast a few weeks ago, while on my way home from my road trip last week I saw a kind of drive-thru I'd never seen before: a drive-thru liquor/convenience store.

Yeah, yeah, I'm going to take a lot of heat for this, but the "generic game" games are a good bit of mindless fun- Halo, Call of Duty, etc. I recall Coulton and perhaps you also having a love of Guitar Hero et al and you can't go wrong with Rock Band.

I'm glad I'm not the only one clamoring for FLAC versions of your songs. That said, I own all three actual CDs, so I was able to rip those to FLAC myself, and the 25 Days of Newman were offered in FLAC, so I have that too. So I'm really only missing a few songs, like the ones done for the Masters of Song Fu and the Odds 'n' Ends.

Gillian is, in fact, interesting in making a quilt out of the tossed undies. Waste not, want not.

No issues here. (Using IE) Thanks for offering this. I was just thinking yesterday that it was fitting that I found this song this week. I love it and DS finds it hysterically funny.

Hmm...download link working just fine in Firefox & Safari on Mac, and in IE. What are you using? Anyone else having issues with the download link?

Re: Ogg-Vorbis/FLAC...several reasons:

- we're lazy
- there hasn't been much call for them
- to release in higher audio quality will only serve to highlight the lo-fi, spit-n-duct-tape recording quality of some of the stuff.

Mostly that first reason, though; one day, eventually, we'll get round to converting everything and uploading it and setting up the links.

I've told you this on Twitter, but the download link is broken, it links to .mp not .mp3, which reminds me - why don't you offer FLAC and or Ogg-Vorbis? In the latter case the file size is smaller and the audio quality is higher compared to MP3, and in FLAC, well that's full quality, obviously, so comparing that is Apples vs. Oranges...

Cloud hosting is a joke, it looks cheaper than having a dedicated server but you quickly find that is costing you more, and you do not have control over the apps installed on the server like you do with a dedicated server.

Road trip games! My brother and I used to balance cookies on the end of our fingers out the window - pointing toward the front of the car with the cookie held in place by the force of the wind. Good times.

I am shocked that you THROW out the panties. I mean, you don't really throw them in the trash, do you? You don't donate them to your local thrift store? You said yourselves that rarely if ever do they appear worn.

Although I guess the embarrassment of bringing a hefty bag full of women's panties to a thrift store might be more that you could bear. ;)

I'm intrigued by the idea of an underwear quilt. I'm planning a quilt made from my old commemorative t-shirts from high school and college, but underwear would be really strange and impressive. Speaking of which, when are you coming back to Boston so we can contribute some more to the collection?

Yes, you should definitely come back to the Englandses if you can, especially Cambrdigeabob

For xbox games, continuing the racing game theme, I think you should check out GRiD, I've had a lot of fun with it and cataclysmic crashes are always fun to watch.

Also, kudos to Storm for refusing to use a walkthrough for braid. I used one for only one puzzle in the game, but I'm kicking myself about it now because I feel I cheated myself a bit.

I will hate you forever for putting that Ideal jingle back in my head after I finally got it out. I was listening to your podcast while alone in my house, & as soon as you started singing it, I shouted out loud, "Noooo!!!!" Alas, it was too late, and now I have an earworm. Thanks a lot! >:-/

As far as video games, Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition, and Fallout 3 are games you can play for months at a time, since there's always something to do. They're both good, but the PC versions are better, and have been patched a bit more.

Crackdown is very video-gamey, in a good way, and you can find it pretty cheap.

The Ghostbusters game is good, but, being a child of the 80s, I can forgive a lot in a game if it gives me a proton pack and a neutrino wand.

As for downloadable games, Bionic Comando: Rearmed is good if you remember the original game from the NES days. Lumines is an awesome puzzle game that kind of has to be experienced. Rez is also a good one to look at, if you like the art and music style. The board games, such as Catan, Carcassone, Uno, etc. are good, but can't be played with anyone in the same room (which kinda defeats the point).
