m&ms all the way. plain preferred, but i won't turn any of them down.

i ate so many during high school and college that i was actually able to taste the colors. eyes closed, i could tell you the color - and did repeatedly to prove it.

many years later i developed a habit of flipping them vertically between my teeth, cracking them, and peeling them (entirely in my mouth). thereby eating the candy before the chocolate.

otherwise, just chocolate bars (of all brown shades), hard candies and japanese smarties. i don't eat many candy bars - but do have a low level craving for Abba Zabbas mostly because they're hard to get around here.

shoot, forgot to mention my favourite sesame street song. It was the one with the cartoon monks who sang the song about the Capital I they lived in. They tried it again with lower case n, but it lacked.

Storm might be what's called a Supertaster. I don't know enough about his mouth to say, having never spent time there. But when a feller says something tastes weird when most don't agree, a supertaster he may be. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supertaster

And as someone mentioned, Henson did the voice of the baker, but a stuntman did the fall. Not enough facial hair for Henson. :) Stuntman's name was Alex Stevens.

My personal favorite musical Sesame Street musical bits were the jazzy puppet (but not muppet) bits Henson did like "King of Eight" (http://bit.ly/cT44F) and the crazy "Ape Escape" (http://bit.ly/Our5b) which was sung by David (Northern Calloway).

I love Joe Raposo as well, but "Ladybug's Picnic" was one of a series of pieces by Bud Luckey, who animated and wrote the songs for these number-themed shorts, which included "Aligator King" and "That's About the Size," both sung by Mr. Luckey. Bud is still alive and kicking and working for Pixar, designing characters and doing voices--he designed, directed, and sung the short "Boundin'." Check out his Wiki page, he's probably responsible for more of your childhoods than you know.

My favorite Sesame Street music moment is a bit of a cheat. In the Bay Area we used to have this great muppets cover band called The Dead Hensons, and there are very few moments to rival the fun I had dancing with a couple hundred other geeks while they played "The First Day Of School", "L-Y", and "Subway".

As for candy bars, I've always been really fond of Abba-Zabas, but they have to be frozen. I really hate how sticky and chewy they are at room temperature. Plus there's nothing quite like stabbing the roof of your mouth with little shards of frozen nougat.

I've never been big into candy bars, but my favorite candies are peanut butter m&ms. And, um, I have to eat them in threes, by color. Until I have the same number of groups of three for each color. And then the remaining groups of three get eaten in ROYGBIV order. Yeah.

I read that Jim Henson did the voice of the baker, but some other guy took the fall(s). I remember feeling very sorry for him and would almost cry. Now I laugh when people fall down stairs.

Candy bar: Atkinson's Chick-O-Stick, but then again I am biased.

Oh man when I was a kid I totally used to run out of the room like Storm's sister, except it was during the show "Today's Special" when Jeff's magic hat fell off and he was transformed back into a mannequin until someone found him, put the hat back on and said the magic words (hocus pocus alimgocious, BTW). I just felt SO bad for the guy: living at the whim of your freakin' hat! Plus, he could never leave the department store! How cruel! Even back then I knew it was a pretty messed up story-line but damn I loved that show.

Used to love Caramellos but haven't seen them in forever. I agree w/ the Twix and KitKats lovers: eat the chocolate sides off first then disassemble and eat each part. Wow, we're an odd bunch of folks around here...

As a kid, I loved 3 Musketeers. But now I just don't care for the taste of a full size bar. I don't know why. I think it's too sweet. I still love the small sizes, though.

Now I'm a big fan of Kit Kats. Back when I was in college they had a giant-size Kit Kat called the Big Kat, and that was surprisingly great. The proportion of chocolate to wafer was maintained as the bar was scaled up and it ended up being so much better than it should have been.

When I was a kid, my favorite candy bar was Three Musketeers. Now, I prefer the Israeli Elite milk chocolate bars with the strawberry cream inside - but only the ones sold in Israel. The ones in the United States have a more solid strawberry filling which isn't anywhere near as good.

@Fred: But it's not just that Almond Joy has almonds. It's also coated in milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet, which, as Manos said, makes all the difference. ;-)

I couldn't go to the Denver concert because I had other stuff to do and I wouldn't be able to get back to Boulder that late at night (bus doesn't run that late) but I'm glad you guys had fun.

I love the food in Boulder, especially the restaurants on Pearl and Walnut Streets.

You guys should do a show in Boulder. I'm sure a lot of my fellow college students will be interested.

My favorite Sesame Street song? That's like asking someone to pick their favorite child. I do have the universal love for 'Manha Manha', of course, and the pinball disco counting-to-twelve bit. Oh, and Lionel Richie singing 'You've Really Got A Hold On Me' with a giant amorous googly-eyed letter U. My favorite SS bit of all time isn't a song, though. It's a kid named Maya and Grover following an arrow. "What happened, arrow?" is an expression of concern in my family to this day.

Favorite candy bar is largely dependent on my mood, but I've gotten very fond of the Vosges line recently, particularly their Red Fire bar with cinnamon and cayenne pepper. For generic grocery store bars, I'm a big fan of the mini peanut butter cup and the FastBreak. As a kid I loved peanut butter Twix, but they've reformatted them with chocolate cookies instead of the original vanilla and they're just not the same anymore.

Not a Brit but an Anglophile, and I eat my Jaffa cakes like Gingerlink, from the outside in.

Best Sesame Street Song Ever: "On the Subway" (It's on Youtube)
-"You could lose your purse (or you might lose someting worse) on the Subway!"

I like Kitkats, and especially when I can eat the indivividual layers of wafer like a separate chocolate.

The Carolla Argument for Mounds v Almond Joy was that there is no need to call the bars with almonds "Almond Joy". They should have just named them "Mounds" and "Mounds with Almonds."

My favorite candy bar? Pure chocolate. In bar form. Dark and with marzipan or orange is my absolute favorite. I find that the stuffing the face eating method works best.

Has anyone tried LU Pim's? They are constructed eerily similar to Jaffa Cakes, but IMHO, are waay better. I think it's because the chocolate is better quality.
Thoughts?

Quick comment, I'd become a Twitter follower of you guys, but there's no link to your Twitter on the main page I could easily find, and Twitter's search engine for friends is down. Mayhaps your eating of cereal is unreasonable in that light. Perhaps there were thousands of others who were in a situation similar to myself. And didn't post about it. Who secretly yearn to be your friend. ... or they really want to see you eat cereal.

My favorite candy bar changes every day. As for eating habits, everyone knows I eat very slowly. They also enjoy making fun of me for it and trying to train me to eat faster. It hasn't worked yet.

Regarding sesame street, I'm shocked and surprised that no one has mentioned the muhnumunum song. Not a huge fan of candy, but the kitkat is a fave chocolate. And when it comes to jaffa cakes I generally eat it like a biscuit or american cookie.

Which is appropriate considering it's neither cake nor biscuit but resides in some nether region between the two.
