Huh. We have Panda Express all over LA. Haven't yet seen one with a drive-through. It's nice to know that despite our modern hyper-connectedness, there are still regional differences. :-)

http://thatdbesweet.com/099/

What ever happened to Rice King? It was a fast food Asian food but maybe only in San Diego and maybe not anymore.
I remember a Italian fast food place in Fargo/Moorhead but I don't know national.

My first car was bought through the 'inter-dad network' as well and damn, did I love that car: a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, dark blue. It was a freakin' boat and I loved it so hard; I almost cried when they finally towed it away. By that time, the digital dashboard didn't always work (you had to give it 3 solid whacks or drive about 2 minutes before it would come on) and the left turn signal didn't always catch (so you had to pull the lever in, jiggle it up and down, then hold it there while you turned the wheel with your other hand. My next car was the one that was actually 100% in my name but it only survived about 2 years before getting demolished in a flash flood. I take it as a sign that even God hated that car.

A little late on this, but I really really liked the interview you linked to in the last post from "Stand-up Chronicles". Found it really interesting, esp. the marketing part (b/c I'm a marketing dork like that).

One could posit that Italian and Chinese foods are the main foods you can get delivered, which, in terms of laziness and convenience, is probably above drive-thru.

In our region at least*, there are some Pizza Hut/Taco Bell combos and you can get pizza via driver thru. Reduced menu though. I believe mostly personal pans pizzas and such.

*not sure if it's nationwide.

Definately think the twitter thing should be ongoing....the more interactive the better. Have to agree with Storm on the first car defining the rest of my cars. I was the polar opposite in that my first was a smurf blue 1983 nissan sentra which could barely reach break the speed limit if the wind was at its back and it was going downhill. (most riding lawn mowers have more HP nowadays.) My next was a 1967 Ford Fairlane (with the gas tank under the license) and even though I look for cars that are efficient and not gross polluters I've never owned a 4 cylinder since.

Thank you for discussing the American phenomenon known as the Choco Taco. My friends thought I was crazy to suggest that such a think could possibly exist. I thought they were crazy NOT to know about this dessert delight. Finally! Vindication! Because, you know, if Paul and Storm say something exists, it most certainly does. ;)

just a thought.

also, working up toward the long awaited ones we talked about months ago...soon...soon...

Back in high school, I had an unhealthy affection for Choco Tacos. They're so bizarrely good. :)

I don't know if McDonald's itself has attempted pizza, but some industrious British soul has created <a href="http://www.pimpthatsnack.com/project.php?projectID=288" rel="nofollow">a pizza with their cheeseburgers and fries as toppings</a>.

"I love you <del>Lucy Liu</del> Angelina Jolie-bot." [/Frye]

No Chinese drive-thru chains? Certainly Panda Express. Besides that, if you're ever near Reading, PA we have a local Chinese Restaurant with a drive thru as well.

Do the Twitter Subjects every podcast. If you have subjects of your own, do those, but do at least one fan-requested subject every time. That's my vote at least.
