I can’t help giggling when I read ‘Paul freely fesses up to his poseur-hood’. Did you know that ‘fesse’ is French for buttock?

I had my first ever Jaffa cake after the Nottingham show and my second during the Birmingham show (thanks for sharing, John and whoever it was in Nottingham!) Just narrowly avoided becoming addicted.

Also, I remember thinking of some Randy Newman lyrics after the show in Birmingham, before the insanity had died down to usual background levels. They’re kind of stupid, but hey, if you’re doing 25 of these, perhaps you’ll need stupid ideas. Here’s the beginning of a Randy Newman theme song for the Large Hadron Collider (mostly recyclotroned from the ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King’ theme.)

Built a ring,
pretty big thing.
But now we’ve gone and messed up everything.

…and then some other stuff, but I can’t think of three rhymes at the moment… and maybe ‘go protons, go’.

Also, I second Lex’s suggestion. Or if you’re getting tired of living in JoCo’s shadow, you could always, you know, do Randy Newman’s “Theme Song To Paul and Storm“. Go, dick jokes, go!

Wandering through the “world food” section of my grocery store this afternoon, I found many, many boxes of Jaffa Cakes sitting on the shelf. And, since you two were so enthusiastic about them in the podcast, I bought a box.

I tried one, liked it and put the box in the cupboard. A few minutes later, I went back to the box for another one. And then another. Before I knew it, I had eaten the whole damn thing.

Obviously, I enjoyed them, as well. The problem is that I’m supposed to go visit my mom to have her homemade spaghetti for dinner (AKA my comfort food!!) and I have no appetite.

Although, if you’re looking for a place in the US to get these, it looks like Michigan is the place to be. HINT HINT!
