This weekend, we wing straight back to Iowa (which treated us so nicely last weekend) for a series of shows at Penguins Comedy Club in Bettendorf. While we’ve never been able to quite figure out the relationship between penguins and comedy–they’re not know for their standup or improv abilities, and their observations on air travel and male-female relationships are banal at best–the club is awesome, the manager is a sweetheart, and there’s a casino just a couple hundred yards away. So we’re not complaining.
Plus, Bettendorf is the home of the Magic Mountain (the edible kind); and we’ll most likely take a side trip to the Wilton Candy Kitchen while we’re out there. So it’ll be a Cornhusker food adventure weekend! Join us!
