We learned a great many things in the Motherland. Among our discoveries:

• Saying "cheers" works as an all-purpose greeting, toast, and apology
• The Sheriff of Nottingham is a real person and is, at present, a very nice chap. Among his official duties: counting zombies
• Fellow travelers are tolerant, if silently resentful, of large rolling bags in the London Underground
• Scooby Snacks are, in fact, Jaffa Cakes
• Even the lowliest banger (sausage) is terrific; bacon is not bacon
• It seems that nobody is actually "from" Birmingham; it is, in that respect, much like Pontiac, MI 

Now then, on to other business…in no particular order:

Super Dave, online guitar lesson giver extraordinaire, has done a lesson for another one of our songs—this time, it’s "Opening Band". With special, you-could-never-guess-who guests!

Also, Code Monkey Dance YouToobz sensation Emily has posted her own version of a Randy Newman Theme Song, for Election Day 2008. We are proud she is awesome.

Cruel, Cruel Moon

Having heard a sneak preview of some of the submissions (we can do this because we’re special, and because our song is submitted and can’t be changed now), we’re very impressed by the wide variety of approaches people took towards the task. Songwriting is neat!
