While you're gracious in defeat, the only thing Colville song had going for it was the hook, which he used... way... too... much. While I'm no expert, I suspect your song was 'rated R: not good for radioplay' and thus would not be able to be leveraged to shine the spotlight of free publicity upon the USA Songwriting Competition organization and their sponsors. But take heart, posting the lyrics will get you more webpage hits. So you got that going for you. Which is nice. Get em next year. Oh man.
